What if DRD has a hard drive failure?
DRD uses RAID 5 with redundant hard disc drives
and switches as part of our electronic document
management and document storage services.
In the improbable event that everything failed, redundant backups to external
hard drives as well as offsite ensure no loss of data. Mirrored disks automatically
maintain two copies of all files retained. This will continue to allow
access to all data until the failed drive has been replaced and the mirrored
set has been rebuilt.
What if DRD experiences an operating system failure (corruption)
or total server failure?
Backups are maintained both for extended periods
of time and up to 999 generations. DRD's system automatically maintains
a separate set of data on a secondary server so your information is always
secure and available. In addition, we can maintain a complete back up of
all your documents internally so that it can be restored quickly.
What if there is an accidental deletion of file(s)?
Standard services at DRD
Information Management include daily backups, stored on-site as well
as off-site. Monthly snapshots are also kept off-site.
What if DRD equipment is infected with a virus? Will my business computer system also be infected?
All DRD equipment is protected by the latest
anti-virus software and secure firewalls. Your documents are never comingled
with other clients' documents. Anti-virus software is updated automatically
every day 365 days a year. All DRD hard drives are completely
scanned for viruses on a daily basis. In addition, all inbound and outbound
emails are also thoroughly scanned for viruses.
What if there is a power failure or power spike at DRD?
Our secure document
storage services facility is equipped with back-up generators to ensure
your complete document retention and
magnetic media protection. In addition,
critical equipment is surge protected and supported by back-up battery
power.
